Edward T Green

Edward T. Green was born in Trenton, New Jersey. He graduated from Princeton University in 1854. He read law in 1858. He received an LL.B. from Harvard Law School in 1858. He was in private practice in Trenton, New Jersey from 1858 to 1861. U.S. Army Sergeant, Civil War. He was in private practice in Trenton, New Jersey from 1861 to 1889.

Green was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Green received a recess appointment from Benjamin Harrison on October 24, 1889, to a seat vacated by John T. Nixon. Formally nominated on December 16, 1889. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on January 27, 1890, and received his commission the same day. Green's service was terminated on October 10, 1896, due to death. He died in Trenton, New Jersey.
