William H. Gindin

Judge Gindin was born on September 1, 1931 in Perth Amboy, NJ, a son to Jac Paul and Belle Steinberg Gindin. He graduated cum laude from Brown University in 1953. He also was Phi Beta Kappa with high honors in Political Science. He received his JD (LLB) in 1956 from Yale University School of Law

He was admitted to the New Jersey bar in 1956. He started the firm of Gindin and Gindin in 1956. He left private practice when he was appointed an Administrative Law Judge for the State of New Jersey in 1982. In 1985 he was appointed a Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey and remained in this position until he retired in January 2004.

Judge Gindin is also admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the Bar Associations of Plainfield, Union County, Somerset County, Middlesex County, Mercer County, New Jersey Bar Association, American Bar Association and Federal Bar Association. He also was an Editor of the New Jersey State Bar Association Journal from 1962 to 1972.

He was married to his wife Emily in 1965 and has four children; Thomas L. Gindin, Janine D. Gordon, Suzanne B. Gindin and Geoffrey A. Drucker.
