A Gala of the Historical Society celebrating the Court’s 225th Anniversary on Thursday evening, 10/2/2014, at NJPAC in Newark

Dear Judges and Friends:

The Historical Society of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey invites you to a Gala celebrating the Court’s 225th Anniversary on Thursday evening, October 2,2014 at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark.

The evening will begin with a festive cocktail and sumptuous hors d’oeuvres reception from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for collegiality among the Bench, its supporting groups and the Bar. The main program will be in the Victoria Theater from 8 to 9 p.m., featuring remarks by Justice Samuel A. Alito, Jr. and Chief Judge Jerome B. Simandle, as well as an audiovisual presentation on the Court’s history, and performances by the West Point Band and Newark Boys Choir. After the program, dessert and coffee will be served in the main hall of NJPAC.

Ticket sales have now opened and will end on September 5. We expect to reach the seating capacity of 500 quickly, so we urge you not to delay in buying your ticket. Tickets are $175 per person for the private sector and $125 per person for Government employees and their spouses. Please use the attached sheet to purchase tickets.
